I've been gardening for at least 30 year's and in the last 5 year's have been bitten by the bug known as.....Growing veg for the show bench.

Select a show variety that's winning in your area. Grow in soft 20ltr plastic pots. Add potato fertilizer, water regularly in dry weather. Trim tops off at 12wks for 1st early, 14wks for 2nd, & main. Allow 3 wks to dry to harden skins before harvesting.

Good to make a number of connections over in the US following the article in @washingtonpost For now I'm keeping the chickens fed and we're being rewarded with fresh eggs... A few battery hens rescued here too and a noisy silkie š

I got rid of their App because its full of doom and gloom, neglected areas and negative stories. Loads of click bait headlines and rammed solid with adverts. I sent in a few uplifting stories and not one even got a mention. Totally gone down bank and lazy reporting.
Click bait headlines like this from the local newspaper, that claims to support the city it was founded in can and do have a negative impact. There is a lot of good people trying to promote Stoke on Trent and this does not help. Not everyone clicks the article and reads it š¤·āāļø

Here's some highlights of 2021... Thankfully we've secured 2 new Guinness World Records to add to our collection and a new UK Heavy Canteloupe Record. It's been a different and difficult year for so many. Let's hope 2022 brings plenty of love, laughter and happiness

Red sun is a beautiful variety and any of the dwarf/intermediates are also amazing. I have some giant (tall seeds) I can send you if you send me a SAE.
