actually she was controversial because the most significant thing about her character was kill a kid but sure say it’s because she’s Israeli
IMAGINE a Marvel SUPERHERO getting CANCELED simply for being ISRAELI.…. Marvel’s character SABRA wasn’t just a HERO—she was a SYMBOL. SABRA fought for JUSTICE, not only as an Israeli but as a FORCE for GOOD in Marvel’s universe, showcasing the RESILIENCE and STRENGTH that Israel embodies. Today, that SPIRIT feels more RELEVANT than EVER. Marvel has now removed SABRA’S true identity from the new Captain America film. Why? Because some voices couldn’t handle an ISRAELI HERO. SABRA’S story parallels the FIGHT for TRUTH about Israel right NOW. Her character stands for BRAVERY, SURVIVAL, and the BATTLE against INJUSTICE—everything that Israelis face daily. I won’t let SABRA’S voice be SILENCED. The spirit she represents is as critical now as it was when she first appeared on the pages of Marvel in the 1980’s. Just like SABRA, I will never stop FIGHTING for JUSTICE

@flowerdrums @AerithsSeat I’d say this is due to Taskmasters famously smug personality being discarded to the onscreen adaption. If the taskmaster from the movie was closer to the comics in character, she would’ve been much more enjoyable to watch and more positively received.
