The fact they specifically designed Gigantron and Emi to look like suit actors can actually fit inside them as of they're traditional Toku monster suits makes me love this movie even more.
To keep with Tokusatsu tradition, I tried to marry naturalistic creature design with human proportions. Here’s Emi, modeled by Omar Smith, and my drawover illustrating what a toddler might look like in an Emi suit.

The color timer is actually a last minute addition to Ultraman's design during 1966's production. The designer, Tohl Narita, didn't intend for Ultraman to have a color timer, but it was added by the show's producers to let children know that Ultraman's in danger.
