My David Lynch moment was on the 100 year tribute to the Lumiere Bros first film. 40 top directors from around the world made a film using the same camera and conditions, like one continuous take no longer than 52 seconds. Somehow Lynch made an epic.

Love when you get an unexpected message inviting you to do a reading series in another state and you reply that you would love to! But the host writes back to say Oops I booked someone else sorry.

@abigailkemske My first try was Trevor Noah's Born A Crime and that was stellar. I also loved the Patti Smith autobio Just Kids. My brain does better listening to memoir-type stuff than literary fiction, which I process better on page. And you can't go wrong with any Hanif Abdurraquib.
