Speedrunning needs to sever it's marriage to twitch. Twitch has done almost nothing for us since the siglemic / narcissa days and if it continues to degrade, it will be really bad for the community if we're all attached at the hip to it.

The first event I hosted was an SMO Any% tournament. I remember watching the players shoot out of the wire to Cascade in the first race and feeling oddly emotional. Since then the support from the community has steadily been climbing and I'm extremely thankful for everything.

If you play a game and try to beat it as fast as you can you are speedrunning and your run should be vaild on any "legitimate" leaderboard.

One time a bunch of kids at my high school gathered in the hallway like they were cheering on a fight, made a ton of noise. Staff came and broke it up and found two kids playing rock paper scissors in the middle. Both got suspended im pretty sure. Teachers couldnt take a joke.

It's annoying to me how looked own upon eating out is by a lot of society. Eating out is so badass. Someone makes food for you so you dont have to cook, the food is usually good as hell, and it stimulates the local economy. EATING OUT IS BASED.
