I was honored earlier today to have a moment with Prof. Elly Katabira, one of the people who introduced me to Int Medicine, and to caring for people with HIV 24 years ago. He is always a great source of wisdom. Long live my mentor!
Gone too soon, Dr. Francis Asiimwe Tiromwe aka (FAT)! We will forever miss your infectious smile laughter. Rest in peace, our classmate and good friend 😔.
Interesting afternoon, participating in activities guided by our children. Lots to learn with them. We, however, lost in most of the activities in spite of trying multiple strategies. They are too agile for us to match 🤭. We resolved go & practice for future encounters. 💪

It's nice to attend CROI again. My highlights for day 1 include the need to vaccinate girls against HPV, increase screening for cervical cancer among HIV positive women, and early treatment for the + to reduce the high mortality.
Congratulations, Prof. Kamya, for this well-deserved mark of acknowledgment for your unwavering dedication to teaching and mentoring generations in research and patient care. Very inspirational 👏

In project management, momentum may refer to the product of speed of execution of tasks, team cohesion, + energy towards project goals, and market responsiveness.
What is velocity?
Some people indeed crammed these formulas to pass exams. At a recent board indication, I wrote the formula, mass x velocity = momentum.
I asked how many people in the room can explain the momentum in simple terms. No one could explain it in simple terms.

Interesting. See what's coming out of CROI 2024 regarding management of prehypertension. I guess there are many possible approaches. I am curious to know the results of long-term follow-up up for the dif approaches.
