Scranton HS Trumpet Player, Isaiah O., marched with the Salvation Army Band in the 2019 Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA. This parade signifies the 100th anniversary of The Salvation Army’s participation in this international event. Congratulations Isaiah!
SHS had over 100 new students, otherwise known as “Knights in Training”, for our annual Take Your Child to Work Day today! From special presentations by the SPD, dissections by our Science Dept, Rock painting and so many others, the “students” learned a-lot and had a great time!
We are so proud of our Windmill Club and Environmental Science Program here at Scranton HS! This windmill has been a long time coming! Great job to Mr. Kays and all of his students!
Students unveil new wind turbine at Scranton High School
Due to precautionary measures for an anonymous bomb threat, we have evacuated the school. The prompt response and building inspection by the Scranton PD and SSD Staff concluded that there is no threat to our campus. Students have been returned to class on regular schedule.
Congratulations to Junior Liam M. on being selected to participate in the 2020 Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Sciences (PGSS) this summer! Liam is one of 64 students selected for this program from an exceptional applicant pool of 353 students from across the state.
