A lifelong LFC supporter from USA! Some good analysis of footy with a sprinkle of the occasional piss takes. (Just had pelters translated to Americanese)
@Kloppholic
It could be worse,
it could be in the dying minutes of a champions league final where you’re one goal down and have enough time to settle the ball and take a well placed shot to potentially take the game to extra time
It could be that
@AnfieldEdition
@ChatsJamiefc
@GiveMeSport
I agree that we need a new starting defensive mid
But I think getting rid of someone as good as Endo is dumb.
We need depth on the bench
We’re going to be worse off if someone goes off injured
I say we keep him as a squad player
@AnfieldEdition
I hope all that work of “Agent Trent convincing Jude to come to Liverpool” doesn’t backfire and turn into “Agent Jude convinces Trent to join Madrid”
@CFCRetro
I think I remember the reason
The flick was from Carragher
They were telling him to go back and he had no business being up there
So it was a pleasant surprise when he got the assist 😂
Or something like that, not sure
It was 200 years ago 😅
@AnfieldEdition
“Liverpool have taken inventory of their current squad and are satisfied with the players at hand, it is unlikely for any additions this summer”
-FSG probably
@The_Crab_Man_
I’ll back the team through everything. Always have always will. But I think we do a disservice when we don’t call out bad things going on
@LFCLaurie
The fact that we were talking about it was the problem.
Realistically, the goal at the start was top 4.
No other team would have the expectation to win it all with a brand new midfield in their first season together.
This was a season of rebuilding.
@PaddyArsenal
With the exception of the bid for Moises, everything else was from the Coutinho transfer
I don’t think we would have gotten them if we didn’t sell him to be honest
@LFCLaurie
I think you’re spot on with that.
I also think the levels of everyone else have gone up.
The “average” in the premier league today and over the last few years is at a much higher level than they were back then.
You have to be almost superhuman to truly stand out today.
@TheRedmenTV
I think it worked out for the best
His transfer gave us Ali and a Virgil
I don’t think those happen if he didn’t go to Barca
In any case, Happy Birthday to the little magician!
@cityreport_
If Kompany succeeds in Germany the secret will be out
We will all know the way to win as a football manager…
To succeed, you must be bald!
@LFCVik2
The way we were playing that season…
It was like a career mode on easy difficulty
Unreal team.
We had everyone at their prime. It’s a damn shame we didn’t win more. The team deserved it
Klopp deserved it.
@AnfieldEdition
Lineup, using the same lineup
Game
After game
After game
After a hard international break
And then another game is probably not a good idea
@LFCLaurie
That team ran out of legs. That style of football was effective, but it took a physical toll on the players.
You can’t expect high intensity football like that week after week and not have consequences
The midfield was spent.
While the front three was world class,
A lot (not
@mkstnr
I think the Liverpool of 2018-2022 definitely spoiled a lot of new fans.
Anything other than multiple trophy’s per season is seen as a “failure”
@AnfieldEdition
1 CB I think either Hincapie or Calfiori will be perfect
1 CDM- don’t have any clear targets, but we need one. A solid CDM can make all the difference
1 Attacker - someone who can play up top or on the right, that way we can have flexibility
If we have to focus on 1, it
@MCFC_Jacky
Gvardiol
The guy’s already playing incredibly well. I think he’ll be amongst the best in the world in a few seasons
Plus, he finishes better than most strikers too (at least on Liverpool)
You guys got lucky with him
@LNobbins
Yeah, that award doesn’t mean anything
De Bruyne is absolute class
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve yelled at the tv
“Did he just do that?!”
“Did he just score from there!?”
Of course he did 🙃
@AnythingLFC_
Given his age and ability
Around £30M for me.
If he’s going to leave, now’s the time.
I think we should wait to see what happens with Alison (given the Saudi rumors)
Great player for us regardless. He deserves to get what he wants
@FPLProp
Maybe not against the top teams, but I can see it happening against the lower half
They can easily pull this off against the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford, Chelsea
@SporadicFT
Garnacho
I don’t know exactly how to explain it, but kid’s got something in him
If he keeps developing at this rate, he’s going to be special
This is coming from a Liverpool fan
