Those two clubs built their foundations without any financial limitations, they didn't need stadium revenue. Their success built marketrevenue. NUFC don't have that and we aren't allowed bigger sponsor deals, expanding the stadium is a way to close the gap.

I've actually not seen any of the slander of some of our players that people are condemning on here. Often with socials I find one person may say something stupid and then it gets blown out of proportion by everyone defending the player. Willock has been fantastic for us!!!

The majority of Villa and West Ham fans are pretty sound, they see the three of us in together against the 'big 6'. Sob on the Tyne is still a thing for some of our fans and that Villawatch needs putting on a register, otherwise there's plenty of decent fans out there.

Said for a while, a brand new state of the art stadium on Leazes Park would be amazing and a really good solution as they could then turn the current grounds land back into parkland, in particular a "wembley way" type walk up to the ground with fan-zone areas, statues etc.

Up until we got Longstaff and Wilson back for the Spurs game we had 13 players unavailable.

Because they would be worth a fortune to the right buyer and would be extra seats over and above the regular fan ones. We can't buy players and keep increasing wages without shifting the revenue stream of the club. Blame the EPL and the cartel for FFP, not the club.

Anybody who was calling for Howe to be sacked needs to look at that Villa result. This is all Howe. He has had time to work with players and we are slowly getting back to our best. At some point we need to manage extra games BUT it's a new thing for most of our club right now!

I think player management dictates Miley needs a rest soon. Shouldn't be playing this many minutes at his age realistically. Longstaff not in great form since returning from injury but he is still doing the ugly stuff that we miss when he isn't there.

We bought Bruno for £35m, if he goes for £100m+ then as sad as it will be, that's some very good business that we know gets reinvested to get 2 or 3 new players back in the door and we are actually stronger for it. Up until then, if it even happens, we keep one of our best.

This season isn't about us winning the Champions League, it's about building the club back up and those games are super high profile and showcase everything the owners and fans want for this club. Great test for us and a huge chance to cause a stur if we do manage to progress.

Last season we rode a wave of positivity, took the momentum train as far as we could. Sadly this season has shown that the overall squad quality is still lacking. It was always going to take time to rebuild. I'm still trusting the process

Nah, I'm just being realistic about needing that stream of revenue if we want to continue to grow. Can't demand better players and to compete at the top but then not expect some catering to corporate shills. As long as it doesn't effect normal fans then I've no issue.

The state of the club thanks to Ashley was laughable. Sponsorship revenue was at rock bottom, facilities were a joke and the club didn't even own the rights to it's own merchandising. They have improved us beyond belief in such a short space of time.

Nobody is bigger than the club. We had so little to cling to under Ashley we are all still frightened of losing anyone, but we will find someone else who clearly buys into the project on a more long term basis. With our owners, Eales, Silverstone we are still in good hands.

Criticism is expected, there was plenty to criticise from that game, but also some positives. The issue is far too often this platform is full of bi-polar spoiled brats who think it's ok to abuse their own players as soon as something goes wrong. Some go too far.

There's an element of being replaced by Shearer, BUT most NUFC fans I know would put him up among the best strikers to ever play for us. He probably still gets blamed for Blackburn winning the league from Man Utd fans.

Despite our downfall this season being injuries and lack of squad depth (of sufficient quality), I'm still seeing some fans act like all we are interested in is a first XI. We need to sign improvements to squad players leaving as much as upgrades on first choice players

We are scoring more goals, conceding more. I am sure it's about finding that balance with a fully fit squad. A strong summer transfer window and we will be much better poised to go again. An FA Cup final or a top 7 spot to get some form of Europe would be very nice though!

Unless we want to go full European mentality of banging drums non stop then we will always have low points. It was pissing down with rain and we weren't playing particularly well. It's easy to make noise when scoring goals against PSG... not so easy when it's dull and soggy 🤷♂️

I completely understand the nostalgia but the reality is fans cannot have their cake and eat it too. It they expect new players and paying higher wages to keep the current stars here then things need to change to improve revenue and part of that will be getting a bigger stadium.
