responded to a carbon monoxide alarm. There were five residents in the home who were instructed to get outside to fresh air. Firefighters discovered high CO levels of 350ppm! This proves once again that Working CO alarms save lives!

was dispatched to an individual in the river in distress. Engine 3 crew onboard Marine 1 & 2, performed a successful water rescue using the same techniques that they were training on this morning. Training pays off!

Firefighters are often asked how much our gear weighs. In this picture Firefighter Ireland shows that his bunker/turnout gear weighs 50lbs (23Kg) and with a highrise pack for any apartment fire he would be carrying 115lbs (53kg) of extra weight up the stairs to fight a fire.
