@live4footy @JOGOFUNCIONAL1 Yup. Even talk about children’s rights ends up about how wonderful coaches are. It’s the “but what about me?” question. In reality, we took the game from the kids and gave them this in return. You’re welcome kids 😢

We blame young people for not playing but we assign no value to it. We've created a game which is primarily about coaches. About US. A game which is increasingly transactional -pay coach to 'get' skills. A coach education which is about session plans & coach philosophies
Playing in the streets forms you as a player, the environment and your peers are the ones who teach you about the game, not through coaching exposure. The game demands variation from your decision making and technique, the players impose the rules and find solutions themselves.

The compensation provisions which place thousands on a child’s head when they’ve not even turned pro, seem like little more than contractual penalty clauses. Of dubious legality? So while we’re all pontificating on our “coaching philosophies”, perhaps consider the system itself
