Just learned that last Friday at 7 pm while a friend was out jogging, a homeless man physically assaulted her outside of Amidon at 4th & G st sw. He punched her, scratched her, & dragged her along the sidewalk by her hair. In jail, being released this morn. Do something, DC.

Even with the construction, there is something so soothing about walking along the wharf in the mornings. No traffic. Few people. Just calm.

Who is the best contact for requesting a crosswalk? DDOT? This intersection (I st & South Cap) sw) is very unfriendly to pedestrians in its current format.

What’s jarring about an ordinary grocery store after you’ve gotten used to Trader Joe’s is how much space is taken up by slightly different varieties of hyper processed foods from major brands. The cereal, soda, and cracker/cookie aisles are particularly bad.

I just pulled a skimmer off my self-check out machine at the Georgetown Safeway on Wisconsin Ave NW in DC. The store just underwent a massive renovation to overhaul their security.
The employees didn’t even say “thank you”.
