Due to the mounting evidence on the severity of the weather event tomorrow and the municipality’s decision to declare a significant weather event, all buses are cancelled and schools will be closed in all 4 zones on December 23/22.
Feb 13/19 - due to icy side road conditions and concerns over visibility, thanks to the strong winds, all zones are cancelled today and schools are closed to students.
Jan 29/19: due to concerns over volume of snow and drifts on side roads, as well as visibility concerns with the wind, transportation in all zones is cancelled today. If you have to travel, be safe and leave lots of extra time!
Jan 23/19 - due to icy conditions on side roads, transportation services are cancelled in all zones today. As a result of transportation being "down", all schools will be closed to students as well.
Feb12/19 - transportation in all 4 zones is cancelled today and schools are closed to students as a result of the forecasted freezing rain and sleet our district is scheduled to receive throughout the day.
Feb 14/19 - although we dont normally issue the "we are running as usual today" tweet, the last number of weeks have been far from usual. All zones are open today as road reports have come back as passable with no visibility issues. Mixed precip is also no longer in the forecast.
Feb 7/19 - due to very slick conditions on side roads and sidewalks, transportation services are cancelled again today in all 4 zones. As a result of the bus cancellation, schools are also closed to students.
By (un)official student decree, March 2, 2018 was officially proclaimed "Friday-Snowday"... much joy was felt and festivities took place throughout the land in celebration of this announcement...

We are happy to report that road and sidewalk conditions have SIGNIFICANTLY improved since yesterday morning. As a result, all zones are open today and transportation services will be running as usual.

Although all zones are OPEN today, we do expect routes to be delayed as all traffic slows down and drives according to the local road conditions.

27-Feb-19 - Regular morning and afternoon school routes are running and schools are open. There may be delays. As always, if you feel the conditions are unsafe in your area, you may choose to keep your children home.
Dec 15/22: Due to the forecasted volume of freezing rain this morning, transportation in Zones 3 (Brant) and Zones 4 (Brantford) are cancelled. All schools in these zones will be closed for the day to in-person learning.
UPDATE - Dec 15/22 - Zones 1 (norfolk) and zone 2= (haldimand) are also cancelled today due to the impact that freezing rain is having on the counties. all transportation services and schools are cancelled
We have another snow event coming our way on Wednesday Jan 25th. Timing isn't entirely clear at this time when the system is going to hit our district (or how hard) so please stay tuned for any updates on Wednesday (and/or Thursday).
Effective February 8th, ALL STUDENTS, except those who have a medical exemption, will be required to wear a face covering while riding on a school purpose vehicle or while transferring between school buses. Thank you for helping us keep all occupants on our vehicles safe!

the messy mix that was called for last night/ this morning did come as forecast. Municipal crews are currently out in full force cleaning off our roadways. Today will require all motorists to slow it down on this morning's commute as slush will likely remain in some areas.
