@cooly1uk @TheGolfDivoTee All sound arguments. I especially concur on the National Opens — Canadian, French, etc. They were rightly revered in that age and still ought to be today, in my view.

@_consistentgolf It would not be practical at a course that receives heavy play. The principal issue with carts is that they create compaction that inhibits the growth of grass — so doubling the number of carts would intensify that.
