Taking a few days away to visit family and revise for my standard response driving course in a weeks time!
Dyslexia rarely gets in the way these days (its not severe), but revision from a book is one of the hardest things I generally have to overcome.

I still do at least 16 hours a month operationally with the team. I joined to be a Special, so I do everything else above and beyond.
All my leadership team must be operational & visible - its key to driving our culture.

My team just always amaze me. Within 60mins we had freed up 12 PCs to allow them to return to their roles or book off duty after already doing a 12 hour shift.
This is the beauty & benefit of the Special Constabulary. A resilience for the force to keep the community safe! 💪🏼
Tonight a Major Incident request went out to the Special Constabulary from the Force Control Room due to a large fire at a commercial premises in the

This course has to be the most intense course I have ever done! 🤯
It was important I did it so I can support my team, whilst I am the Chief Officer, I am still very much an operational officer who does many front line duties & tutors non-IP officers, something I am proud of.
After an intense week, we are thrilled to say that our first 8 volunteer police officers of various ranks have successfully passed their scenario assessments and are now Specially Trained Officers (STOs). They are now licensed to carry Taser to respond & protect the community. 👏🏼

Never would I have thought 12 months ago to have got so many through standard response and now IPP.
I now take advantage of August’s lull at driving school for SC training!

I love getting out on Duty with the team and adding value. I will always be front-line, it’s what I signed up for after-all.
I still manage to do at least one operational shift a week on average, even as Chief Officer. Its important.
I am proud of my officers 💪🏼
Yesterday our Chief Officer joined S/Insp Mann on duty as a county resource. 🚔
Over the 12 hours they attended RTCs in Warrington & Disley (Peak District), supported Runcorn with eviction enforcement and proactively patrolled Knutsford & Wilmslow.

To say my body aches is an understatement, but certainly the best course I have ever been on. Loved spending time with some of my incredible team. 18 trained & counting!
It was also great to spend time with 3 of our recent transfer SCs who were on the course!

Today 15 officers from SC to S/Supt passed the four day Level 2 - Public Order Public Safety course at our Tactical Training Centre. Whilst intense, it was a fantastic experience. A key investment in our volunteer officers, which will help keep our communities even safer! 👏🏼

Yesterday’s shift finished with a delightful chap trying to bite a chunk out of my leg whilst fighting with a colleague and I, when arresting him.
Turns out, when pulling his head away from leg he decided to piranha my fingers and try and bit them off instead!

I am so proud on how far we have come, 21 trained volunteer officers in 7 months, with 3 more starting the course next week and 10 more already booked in between June-August and spaces still to fill for the rest of the year. 🤯

Utter disgusting.
Incredible work by those officers biding themselves some time until colleagues with a taser arrived! So brave.
On March 8, two of our Response officers were violently attacked by a knife-wielding man when responding to a report of a serious assault. Their attacker has just been jailed for six years, and with their permission we have released BWV of the incident. Viewer caution advised.

It certainly was a busy shift. Its important to me to still keep competence by doing at least my 16 hours a month operational with my team. Its also a great way to advocate for the troops and be visible.
I joined as front line cop, I won’t be giving the best bit of my role up!
Last night Chief Officer Boland was out on duty with S/Insp Booth. A variety of jobs attended including calls for a male trying to break into cars and assistance to a colleague on RCU who had arrested a drink driver. The Chief even managed to attend Chester to see our team there.

5 years ago I transferred to Cheshire, whilst a tough decision, I am glad, it has been an incredible journey.

What a busy weekend for our

team - a complex incident around officer safety last night required L2 resources, 2 of the team were able to step in and keep 2 response officers free for grade 1 calls. That is exactly why we are a resilience and not a replacement 👏🏼
Last night S/Insp Booth and SC Lee were on duty when a request for Public Order Level 2 trained officers was issued to support an incident in
@PoliceWarr
. Due to their new skills, both officers could grab their L2 kit from their stations and be at the scene within 30mins. 👏🏼
