I recall how patronising some critics were towards Pratchett because he wrote comic fantasy. But he used Discworld and his other books to experiment in other genres. He managed to sneak in so many references to Shakespeare and much more obscure stuff.

Daisy and her son Dasher. They came to us through a cat sanctuary ironically. We suspect Daisy was to be used for breeding but only one pup survived of her first litter so no good to breeders. We ended up taking both her and her pup. Dasher all grown now but still a handful.

Finnish genealogical records for ordinary people are wild. Now back to

's 10th Great Grandmother, born in 1597. She is one of the furthest away geographically of the ancestors we have traced so far- a whopping c. 60km from where we live now.
