Paul - Since the beginning of June, Meronk missed 3-of-8 cuts and had one top-10 (half of those were against KFT level fields). He's 16th among Europeans in DataGolf's Rankings. Had an excellent chance of making this team but shit the bed over the last three months.

Last 3/6/12/24 are pretty common baselines. But even in strokes gained last six months, Meronk is 15th best European.
Four majors this year: Lowry had three top-20s, Meronk had zero. Lowry is 12th on DataGolf, Meronk is 16th.
This isn't that difficult, folks.

They’re good. Gard’s a good coach. It’s just really hard to make a deep run without elite talent, and we’re nine years in and still zero top-50 recruits. That’s the primary critique on him, and it’s odd that the Gard lovers won’t ever acknowledge it.
