Kids need to be kids. They don't need to be prepping for standardized tests or limited to "select/elite" sports teams.
Listen to young kids run/chase. Kids find joy in moving. So simple. Yet, we have somehow made it complicated.

With the rule change this year, our athletes won't begin practice until AFTER we have begun class.
Eliminating opportunities for team camp, meetings, physicals, transition into the school year & adjustment period for incoming FR.

NCAA Basketball has 8 weeks of summer training, then 8-10 weeks of pre-season practice in preparation for their first game.
Conversely, NCAA XC has ZERO summer training and only 16 days of practice prior to their 1st competition.
How is this safe for XC student athletes?
