When everyone is celebrating eid in their homes, Anaesthesia staff is working round the clock in SMHS, LD, BJH, taking care of ICUs,HDUs,trauma OT's, burn unit,emergency surgeries.

Few days back I happened to be in one of the ICUs of SMHS Hospital as an attendant. My heart goes out for all the paramedics, multi-tasking service, nursing and sanitary staff who work so hard everyday. They deserve our respect, encouragement and praise for what they do.

We've never seen this kind of crisis in our lives. As a constructive member of the society, we all have a role to play. It is always wise to follow advice. Lost time can never be found again. Take this seriously. Just wearing a mask and avoiding gatherings can break the chain. ✊

It’s sad to see that many people are still not taking pandemic seriously. People are suffering. You might not be vulnerable but as social beings it is our responsibility to protect others especially the elderly. Wear mask, sanitize hands & maintain distance. We’ll get over this.

We have been witnessing lots of cases related to road traffic accidents. It is advisable for every vehicle driver to use helmets or seat belts as necessary and avoid rash driving at any costs.

Yes it was a really happy moment for all of us. The joint efforts by anaesthesiologists and pulmonologists paid off very well. High flow oxygenation in prone position really helped the patient. Thanks to PMC and CDH administration & HOD Pulmonary Medicine for their full support.

Infact the routine list never stopped there. In last 15 days number of cases done in emergency OT of Bone and Joint has increased since last 15 days. A real big appreciation for residents of anaesthesia and orthopedics who are working day and night especially working wearing PPE.

If it is implemented in letter and in spirit then the viral spread can be prevented.Some simple easy three things can make a large difference. Wearing a mask maintaing a safe distance and keeping hands clean will have wonderful results. The virus is very much there,,,,,,,,
