Shame shame shame. This is completely incorrect and harmful advice on the management of low back pain, and contradicts the strongest evidence. This person is NOT a spokesperson for physiotherapy.
Ignore, and read this instead
SOAP notes. I personally have issues with the S and O.
Our students came up with HEAP:
History
Examination
Analysis

Thoughts? Does it matter? How do you change practice?
Physio Twitter Logic:
You said you like pencils
That means you hate spoons
When did I ever says spoons don't matter
Pencils don't work, I can prove it when I eat cereal
You should believe in cabbages you pencil idiot
MSK physios - don't be bell-ends. Put you stethoscopes down and do what you do best. Covid / post-covid care will require huge rehab input. Get involved here 👇👇👇👇

Wearing orthotics almost doubles the risk of injury in recreational runners.
Some other interesting stuff too, within limits of retrospective study.

Reading Twitter feed: "Lots of clinical equipoise and discussions involving evidence with experience to learn from. Our profession is really moving forward"
Reading Frontline ads: ..a stiff spinal segment will always be painful .. "FFS" 🙄🙄
Misleading claims in advertising?
Homeopaths, crystal therapists, energy therapists and the likes: now would be a really good time to show us what you’re made of.

If you're one of these "creative" physios, how about rather than creating "new" treatments, you channel your creativity to working out how best to evaluate existing ones?
Imagine this 🌈 this is my dream!
If I was elected to
@thecsp
council this would be a major focus of mine…. Wherever you work, and however you are a physio, Imagine how you could inspire students in your specialism, field, practice, …it pays back in spades ❤️

This is something straight out of the 1980s - it's as if science had never happened.

Saying you don’t like social media because of the stuff on it is like saying you don’t like pencils because you saw a bad drawing of Donald Trump. It’s not the media that’s shit, it’s humans ffs. Sort ya sens out.

An anecdote of patient response is not evidence.
Lots of such anecdotes are not evidence.
I’m collecting anecdotes of patient responses in my RCT and comparing them to lots of other anecdotes, then anecdotally reporting the difference in a journal.
Now that’s evidence. Ffs
Someone on FB posted this very rare photo of me on the front! This is 1990 BCF National Track Championships at Saffron Lane track, Leicester. I guess this was the 20k Scratch, or 40k Points Race. It’s rare ‘cos I’m on the front 😂
