Self referral to Physio is safe and effective since the conditions you described can be understood and triaged even by lowly non-medics.
Politicians sometimes bait inter-professional wars but let’s not indulge.
Persistent back pain could be caused by metastatic cancer, multiple myeloma, bacterial discitis, osteoporosis, tuberculosis, spinal cord compression, multiple sclerosis.

Most nights they take turns to wake every hour... 😑 😴 😫
So I get them together and take a photo to send to the adoption agency...
but then they look so cute so I bottle it and give them another 24 hours...

I’m now 6 months into my new lifestyle which can be summarised as
- No exercise
- Poor diet
- 4-5 hours broken sleep
- No socialising
Observations:
- I’m fat
- I’m moody
- More sciatic pain
- Less back pain
- I’m addicted to coffee
- I use Gaviscon as a chaser
- I make lists
