No joke: the Glee pilot is one of the best pilots in all of TV.
It contains every aspect of what made the show great while establishing all the characters and their motivations perfectly in 45 minutes. It could be a standalone movie and still work just as well.

It’s even funnier because the triumphant fanfare plays as he’s revealed to have been taken prisoner by the First Order. So we have a very sad Wookie cry coupled the triumphant music. The tonal whiplash is insane.

Nice to see transness be important and essential to resolving the dilemma of an episode. The Meep being transphobic and then beaten by a trans person was also great!
