Steve Harley, the singer-songwriter, best known for his song 'Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)', died on Sunday. The Cockney Rebel was, of course, a Listed Londoner, so here we revisit his interview from 2013.
Robert have been searching for these sandals his whole adult life and finally found a pair in Madrid. He wore similar ones as a child. But socks and sandals? What are your views?

Does it date from 1965 - 69? Or is it from the mod revival of the late 70s / early 80s? Is it the oldest surviving music related graffiti in London??
On yesterday’s Cover To Cover we invited listeners to pick their favourite version of ‘Love Is A Many Splendored Thing’, by either The Four Aces or

Back in the 70's there seems to have been a slightly unconventional route from London to Calcutta 🚌
Mercedes in Colliers Wood thinks that the journey took 49 days. Does anyone know anything about the bus or this route? Or perhaps you were you were a passenger? 🇮🇳🧳

What things always make you smile in London? For me, the giraffes of Regents Park and the Hare Krishnas of Oxford Street. No matter how often I see them.
We know the legendary Nick Lowe and his wife Peta have got 𝙖𝙡𝙡 the moves - and impeccable taste in music!
But what about their 15-year-old son Roy?
Well we'll find out...because he's our

Donald Hunter served as a Radio Officer on a landing ship on D Day. In 2004 he was awarded the Légion d’Honneur for his participation in the Normandy landings. He told me “It was really a terrifying experience, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”

Every day we've been getting some brilliant recommendations from listeners, so if you need some inspiration here are this week's choices 📚🤓
And finally, I asked whether it was only Selfridges that had a monkey in the store at Christmas posing for photos, back in the '70s? Well, you sent in your memories from the Post Office Tower, Gamages and even up in Liverpool, so I can confirm it was a widespread phenomenon.

There's been a recent uptick in my ornithological interest, partly because I'm now woken up by peregrine falcons every morning since moving house. My interest has stretched to other birds though, and I'd like to know what kind of bird this is. Help! Call on 08007312000

We're trying to find someone who remembers an old 70s shoe shop called Kickself. Apparently, the staff rode on roller skates and had flashing lights on heads! Is this true? 🔍☎️Call us this morning if you can tell us more 0800 731 2000📻

Another lockdown walk discovery is this object found by Archangelo on the eastern slopes of Alexandra Palace.
Could it be an anchor point of some kind? Or is it linked to the rumour that there is a secret nuclear bunker located somewhere around Ally Pally?
