Your support enables us to do what we do for our vulnerable community with pet dogs! We use your kind donations for the core reason of the charity, the care of the dogs and their owners. We have a sanctuary to maintain with high overheads, vet meds to buy and vet bills to pay. There is NO directors paid, No paid admin/fundraising team, even the vet team volunteer their time as do our frontline team. A one off donation or monthly direct debit helps us immensely to help all our clients and their dogs. We do not receive any funding from services who use our charity nor the government. After speaking with our Vet team this morning regarding the malnourished underweight dog we have in our Sanctuary they have recommended we start her on puppy food so we’ve just added this to our wish list if anyone could kindly help. The first two items are the puppy food.

This morning, we are focusing on settling in two dogs who came into our care yesterday. One of them, severely underweight and malnourished, is receiving a gentle medicated bath, preventative care treatment, and starting a slow, nutritious feeding plan to help rebuild her strength. She has multiple wounds, likely from dogfighting, which we will be treating. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see a dog in this condition. From what we understand, she was kept in a filthy crate that arrived with her from the police, and judging by its state, it may never have been cleaned. When approached in her safe space, she backs into a corner, absolutely petrified—but we will bring her round with patience, love, and care. The good news is that we have now officially taken ownership of her while further investigations continue. This is how our day has ended, with thanks to Metropolitan police who have brought two dogs into our care one as you can see it’s totally and see it. The dog will now have a future with us whilst we deal with the owner.!!!!

@gazzy_uk I’ve had endless conversations with my accountant, but they are advising. I’m unable to claim back that and I’m not sure if the company safe for instance the double glazing company can charge us zero vat and then they claim it back.

@gazzy_uk I’m afraid not. I believe you can unprotected buildings but I’ve had this conversation time again our charity accountant and unfortunately we are unable to came back any VAT which is very very frustrating as for us. It’s like throwing money away away.
