What probably happened is the tenants complained for a protracted period of time that the place was too hot, that the AC needed upgrading, and there was no response from the landlord. Play slumlord games, win slumlord prizes. 🤷♀️.
Tenant is moving out, I stopped by to pick up the keys. Me: What happened here?.Tenant: What happened with what? . 🤦🏻♀️.#multifamily

Because @AP isn't going to say it, the masks are being provided by @MaskBlocLA . Supplies are being provided by mutual aid groups operating in the disaster area. Want to help? Find those orgs and contribute to them.

@joe_insanity Easy. "You can choose not to delete that photo. That choice comes at the price of being banned and trespassed from the facility with the exception of using the emergency department. Are you sure you don't want to delete that photo? Oh you changed your mind? Good choice.".

@BlackFlagRN It's like any piece of technology. It only works when you're trained and proficient in its use.

@Pragnacious @ladytay318 Right? Next they'll claim my TV or laptops are fixtures and try to say I need to leave them behind too because they were plugged into the walls.

No. I'm under 65 and I got COVID for the first time on Feb 2nd. I ended up in the hospital, I almost died, and my first day back to work is tomorrow night as a trial period to see if I can even come back to work full time. I have to go to pulmonary rehab and to a neurologist.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but the covid today is nothing like the dangerous covid of 2020-21. If you're under 65, you should pretty much forget it exists and go about your life. Just like you did your whole life with the "threat" of colds and flus out there.

I hope every single person responsible for this psych hold permanently loses their licenses. This is unprofessional, it's unethical, and it's a complete and utter disregard for patient rights and autonomy. It's also a complete disregard for the principles of good patient care.
Patient Care Tech in CO:."I'm devastated. Last night at work, a patient who was very covid cautious and immunocompromised came into ER with a 4-day migraine, with days of vomiting, unable to eat, etc. She even planned it for 3 am. trying to hit the Er off peak. /1.

As a former infantryman, this is terrible advice and how you fuck up the skin on your feet. Don't do this. Change your socks frequently. Use foot powder. Moleskin for blisters that have already formed.
One other thing: if someone you know is hiking, they need to prepare their boots. Plastic bag on your bare foot, then sock over it, then put boot or shoe on. There are lots of places where you sink into the mud down to your ankle. You need the plastic bag to avoid being soaked.

When you read "looting is an ongoing issue" it's ppl trying to find supplies because greedy businesses partner with the state to horde resources in disaster areas and engage in price gouging. Having done a lot of disaster response/relief/rescue, this is overwhelmingly the case.
— away and told “we don’t have anything” when they could see clearly through the front windows that that was a lie. We were then told to go home because there was a curfew beginning at 7PM. Cops began to barricade the front door with their vehicles. Here are some pics from 2day.

@dhambrick63 @joe_insanity Wait, hold up. As a nurse with a master's degree education, are you under the impression that hospital rules and policies are unenforceable? Do you seriously think the well-funded legal department, who crafted those rules, is just for show?.

@sadboiseasoning Sure. They can choose not to delete the photo, but I can 100% choose to leverage hospital policy which makes their choice come with some fairly decent consequences. These include being banned from the facility and only being able to use the ER from that point forward.

@SLPMedicare4All I've seen a lot of people die over the years. People die in healthcare, that's something that happens even if you're doing everything right. The tools we use in healthcare aren't healthcare itself, but grant us the ability to provide healthcare better, faster, and efficiently.

This is a big issue. You can't build community if you outwardly show people that you absolutely do not give a shit about their health and overall life. If you're not willing to protect everyone around you, you're cosplaying. nothing more.
I'm seeing a lot of "we will build community" posts from people who stopped masking 1-3 years ago. What are you going to build when you prioritize emotional comfort over protecting your own body from disease?.

@TezzaLap Right. We would report if there's a suspicion. But how do you reach that point if you're not allowed to ask any questions and not allowed to ask kids if they feel like they can't say things in front of their parents? What do I do if a kid answers yes to that last part?.

@betrue2ful Absolutely not. If my patient or their representative didn't consent to being photographed outside of the contexts provided within the hospital consent forms. no pictures. I'll defend that all day long.

@lynnedclark It doesn't matter whether or not I think treating ectopic pregnancies are abortions. What matters are laws that do treat them as abortions and have language which criminalizes both patients and healthcare workers.

"What about the ADA?!". Lemme ask some of you this question. If I'm asking a professor for captions and they refuse, do you think an ADA case would resolve before or after I'm forced to withdraw or fail from the course?.
A lot of y’all love using ableism to put down the candidate you like the least but can’t stand being confronted with the results of that when it looks like this:

@areilly0830 It's literally 80 seconds of "how is school? What's it like at home? Does anyone do anything that makes you feel bad? How did you get that ouchie?". And people also created this fantasy that this happens without another person in the room under a certain age. 🙄.

Nah. Being visible is totally workplace appropriate.
I'd find being treated by a doctor wearing something like this quite intimidating, as a woman, a Christian, someone who believes in the Union, who is not a rabid lefty. Not sure I would trust them with my care. No place for this in any workplace, but especially not a hospital.

On behalf of our UK siblings facing lawsuits in an effort to silence them. JK Rowling is a Holocaust denier and an all-round piece of shit.
On 13 March I tweeted that JK Rowling “is a Holocaust denier”. That allegation was false and offensive. I have deleted it and apologise to JK Rowling.
