@flyinglawyer73 @ChrisMasonBBC The whole approach to 'the news' then was much more appropriate then. It is a pity that Sky News likewise has reduced as a serious provider of news. Jon Craig is probably the best political correspondent nowadays.

@RepRashida Hasn't your country reached the stage where the law ceases to have effect and the will of the dictator now exists?

@kitty_donaldson This bill ought to be pulled. Bad drafting, apparent dissembling by and the questionable competence of the mover. What is the real purpose of this bill? Some attempt by which to begin to sort out the social crisis? Any bill of this magnitude should be started by the government.

@DrSusanDenim @Ofcom If she is on so many programmes, does she have a real job? Presumably, a person's visa has the connection to having a real job?

@timfarron This is not the 'Commons' finest hour. Defective drafting, insuffient scrutiny, questionable ability of the mover, questionable morality of the mover. A highly unsatisfactory piece of legislation making people frightened as to its purpose. Is the mover doing this out of vanity?

@MelanieHewitt61 @TheRSC When working in the area, I spent most evenings at @TheRSC , the old theatre then. I remember wonderful Elizabethan plays, a,terrific opening to Pericles with hundreds of table lamps strung up and a masterly Tempest.

@Madz_Grant An uneasy feeling, the apparent dash to have this on statute. Why the haste? To save properly sorting out social care? Probably. At the best of times, bills today do not seem to have the rigorous investigation of those back decades. Drafting has been criticised. debate likewise.

@ScottCAvery @rbo_org Brings back wonderful memories of their dancing together in the great ballets. Until the drama-documentary about Margot Fonteyn, I didn't know that she was commuting regularly between the UK and Panama (?) assisting her ill husband. Very poignant a gala for her to bring in funds.
