@awopbamboo I guess you missed the majorities of 144 in 1983, 102 in 1987, 179 in 1997, and 179 in 2001? Oh bliss 🙄🙈

@jeblec I get the argument but the Labour vote is very efficient under FPTP. Look at 2005, people forget Blair secured a 66 majority on 35% of the vote. This advantage dates back decades for Labour.

@LukeTryl I am 100% with you on this. Withdraw EU access to the e gates and the nonsense queues at certain EU destinations would end overnight.

@jeblec There lies the problem, the vote is already split. It does not need a Tory resurgence per se. Reform right now are the SDP back in 1981. The latest thing, surging in the polls, but come election day, they will be nowhere. That is the reality of FPTP, and Farage knows it.

@jeblec You are correct about the small majorities in certain seats; however, that does not translate to Reform winning such seats.

@WarTalk1 @RobertJenrick I am aware of local government responsibilities thank you very much. I am also aware of parliamentary sovereignty and the ability of governments with majorities circa 80 to do something about such things in any event.
