Mnuchin: “I stand by our comments that the tax cuts will pay for themselves. This will be simple math.” Every independent analyst has said that the tax cuts absolutely will not pay for themselves. Maybe more like it pays for 25% or 30% of itself.

One more point because I've heard from readers on this. We intentionally didn't do an example household between, say, $100k and $400k because it wouldn't show much. Tax hikes start at $400k; tax cuts are targeted (depends on your particular activities) or phase out with income.
