A two-state settlement presupposes that the folks in Gaza & Ramallah would recognize Israel as a sovereign
state.
I see no evidence of their willingness to do so.

“Well… they didn’t strip her when they kidnapped her.”
“Well, they didn’t behead ALL the babies.”
This is the thought process we’re seeing in Jihadi social media: a kinder, gentler form of terrorism.
@GeraldoRivera
The internet, cell phones, TV, etc. likewise didn't exist at the time the constitution was written. That doesn't mean those particular forms of technology aren't protected by the free speech provisions of the Bill of Rights. Ditto for present day firearms.
@ninaturner
No, but applying one set of standards to Israel and another one to its neighbors is Antisemitism. And it’s time to quit pretending it isn’t.
Not all critics of Israel are bigots, but all bigots seem obsessed with Israel.
@AP4Liberty
Anytime I see a tweet beginning with the phrase: “as a veteran [gun owner, police officer, etc.] I immediately know it’s going to be a trash take.

@politicalelle
It’s an odd psychological phenomenon: Jews who wish to disavow anything related to Jews, Judaism or Israel...a desire to be “one of the good guys” and maintain street cred with very dangerous people.
It’s pathetic.
@karol
“Criticism of Israel is not Antisemitism!”
Okay...please share that message with the thugs beating the hell out of Jews in LA & NYC...as well as vandalizing synagogues.
They apparently didn’t get the email...
@laurenboebert
Pro-2A states, their governors, and attorneys general need to start coordinating on a constitutional convention.
Strike the "well regulated militia" verbiage and replace it with an unambiguous affirmation of the right to possess a firearm of any mechanism or caliber.
@StandWithUs
I’ve seen reporting from Yeshiva World and ynet…are any LA outlets covering it?
I adore LA…but the Jew hatred has been stewing there for years.
My heart goes out to this man and his family.

If churches & synagogues were a source of tax revenue, police wouldn’t be harassing worshippers and recording license plates...they’d be offering valet parking.
@nytimes
Sounds good to me.
Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments, replace the 2nd Amendment with new verbiage that omits “a well regulated militia” and simply guarantees the right of Americans to own any firearm (regardless of caliber or mechanism of action).

If & when U.S. cops start enforcing Australian-style restrictions, will the

crowd keep up with that “just doing their job” crap?
@SenSanders
One of the most bewildering developments of American political culture is the way so many progressives have canonized Cheney as some sort of a saint.
Just like they did with John McCain.
Repealing Certificate of Need laws is a concrete way to bring down healthcare costs and increase access. The fact that these laws are even on the books is nauseating.
#healthcare
Certificate of Need repeal is still moving forward in SC and it's about the only thing giving me life in January.

GOP needs to lighten up on social issues (LGBT), needs to *truly* embrace fiscal conservatism (deficits matter) and figure out how to be competitive in major metropolitan areas (NYC, LA, Chicago).
@CatholicArena
Traditional Jewish practice requires the use of Hebrew in its services...an indispensable part of creating sacred space apart from the ordinary, day-to-day grind.
I imagine Latin did the same thing for Catholics.
Abandoning the Tridentine Mass was a horrible mistake.

Happy Thanksgiving! I am especially thankful for those who serve our country and are separated from their families today by their duty. Our nation thanks you.
Love the logic here: if you express concern over *elected* officials employing the ugliest anti-Jewish slurs, you’re an apologist for a “murderous occupation.”
#Jexodus
One of the most bizarre things about this Ilhan Omar controversy is that we’re supposed to care & cater to the hurt feelings of apologists for Israeli gov’t violence. They’re the ones who should be apologizing & pleading forgiveness for propping up a murderous occupation.
@carynannharlos
I’m a fairly jaded guy, but this really turned my stomach. The malice & cruelty is so unsettling.
It’s another in a long list of reasons why the whole “Back the Blue” mentality needs to be reconsidered.
@RagingGayCons
Strictly speaking, I don’t think *any* marriage should be legal. Marriage is a private association between individual, consenting adults. It should not be the focus of state action, licensing, tax breaks, etc.
@FDRLST
Well written and well argued. If it’s perfectly legal for MMA fighters to hop in a ring and beat each other to a bloody pulp for money, how possibly could

be illegal?

People who cannot tweet without a self-congratulatory blurb about their military affiliation are engaging in a shit tactic: exploiting the knee-jerk hero worship that so many extend to the military as a way to stifle disagreement.
Please be polite to your servers in restaurants. So many right now are facing harassment: being blamed personally for all the goofy rules about tables, barstools, masks and so on. They don't make the rules and they could use a bit of courtesy.

One of the most irritating aspects of this pandemic is the notion that

For libertarians the very thought of massive government aid or the enforced closings of businesses is usually indefensible. But those beliefs can change in a time of crisis, like now.
