The thing with lawsuits in the US. They are not about who is right or wrong but who has money. The lawyers know what the Atlanta “go away” number is. Atlanta pays to settle. The lawyers take half. Taxpayers pay…
@braxton_mccoy
Tax breaks in Texas - that’s why they are the rage. You can claim them as an occupied farm building instead of a house and you get a property tax break.
@MarkWarner
So now Russia has over a million men in the military, is out producing NATO by 3x (by NATOs own admission) and Ukraine has lost half the population. Tell you what - why don’t you go sit in a trench on the 0 line and tell us how well the money was spent.
@robbystarbuck
My wife’s family are farmers. The present generation of Deere machines are not practical for family farmers to run. You have to have Deere mechanics with approved computers work on them. Since everyone is harvesting at the same time you can’t get them repaired before crops spoil.
@JoJoFromJerz
My groceries were 37% less expensive and I could eat out because it was 100% less expensive. I haven’t gotten a raise in years so my net pay is lower than it was 2 years ago. My employer has had a hiring freeze for 2 years and they tell us to do more with less. Keep telling me

@EWErickson
In fact - Walz was an E8 Master Sergeant and never achieved the rank of E9 Sergeant Major. The reason he did not make E9 is because he quit the Sergeant Major academy so he would not have to deploy with his unit to Iraq. This is the opposite of Heroic - it is cowardice.
@SteveSlatonAZ
Dude - why not just tell us that we are bad at math while you are at it. Being a crew chief is an honorable job. Doing while most of the country wouldn’t serve is commendable. Stop lying about things you couldn’t possibly have done. Come clean - apologize. Move on.
@Cpl_Dont_Know
One of my coworkers is from India. His wife is a dentist. She is repeating Dental School on an accelerated track so she can practice in the US. 3 years. They are lucky they can afford it.
@Mrgunsngear
They are about to learn the scariest law enforcement officer in the federal government is the postal inspector. As soon as the post office gets involved you hit massive sentence enhancements.
@braxton_mccoy
From a Cybersecurity perspective - the phone does not do what it claims to do. As soon as you joint a network (cell or WiFi) your metadata is being tracked. Even if you encrypt everything through a VPN anyone with metadata access (read the NSA) can track your location. If you

My wife checked with TSA HQ to see if my daughter could put figure skates in a carry on bag. They send us an email saying it is AOK. Get to San Diego and the TSA agent puts us in secondary search. Wife asks shows him the email. He says no. Asks for a supervisor. Sup says let it
@Lead_Flinger
This marks the second time I have seen material “atomize” - moving directly from solid to gas due to high voltage. One of our electricians dropped copper cables onto batteries in a UPS room for a datacenter. Poof - cable gone.
@RepTroyNehls
You were never eligible for a CIB in the first place. You, having been an 11B when you were enlisted, knew you weren't eligible. You were already awarded a CAB.
@Dianexis
FFS - He is flagging everyone with a live rifle??? Not just with the spin move - with every move. Dude - Just let it hang. The muzzle points at the ground - the ground is our friend.
@JackMurphyRGR
Over reliance on a fence. Outside their special ops the IDF is a conscript army with shake N bake NCOs. Hard to demonstrate initiative when at the small unit level the leaders have a few months more training than the troups.
@Mrgunsngear
Loper Bright Enterprises v.Raimondo - IE Chevron deference and Donald Trump vs United States. The left is going to go ape over Raimondo as the EPA is going to be crippled. It may also signal they are worried about ruling against Trump although if the rule in favor even more
@Oilfield_Rando
This makes me so angry. Dude even admits that he filed separate taxes so he could keep his payments down because he knew they would be paid for him. I paid my loans - and paid for my two kids. Now I get o pay his too. Unbelievable.

I honestly don’t care if they are insufferable. I live around crab fisherman that fish the Bering straight. Coasties don’t buy their own drinks or food here.

US Foreign policy pushing Russia to China. The worst-case scenario (not the worst which is WW3) is the world moving away from the Dollar as the reserve currency. This means US debt turns into hyperinflation. It also means China becomes the lone superpower - US isolated...
@OfAthenry
Heh - seal teams ended up hiring former Rangers to run their SQT program because they were so bad at combat skills such as react to contact. SMH. The navy needs to get out of the play soldier game and hand the TO&E over to the Marines.
Spending Memorial Day with my roommate from 2/75. He was at Batt for a decade. Got out and got his degree and his commission. On his last deployment as a CO he was killed trying to save one of his NCOs after they were ambushed. He was going to be a guide in Alaska. Great dude.
@DolioJ
Same reason drone pilots wear them even though they are in a trailer - flight suit is a lot more comfy than all the other uniforms. Besides the rules don’t apply.
@Txp_RBI_Xctuxl
Welcome to what's on the agenda. When you start seeing your legislature talk about "managing urban growth" this is what they mean. They also sell it as saving farmland. Once it gets implemented, they will make it section 8 and your schools will get a lot more violent.
@OfAthenry
Best loadmaster story - after low level through the cascade mountains - “Do not - I repeat - Do not leave your air sickness bags on this aircraft. Pack out what you packed in” All of the jumpers trying to figure out how to stow the very full barf bags.
@kristina_wong
Underlying this entire question is why he didn’t go to Sergeants Major Academy - he and his unit came up on orders for Iraq and instead of deploying he put in his Retirement packet. He effectively abandoned his Soldiers. To your question - the Army has the concept of “acting”
@4nt1p4tt3rn
I could not disagree with you more. I’ve seen what civil strife does to 3rd world countries and it is terrible. We want no part of that here. You are not preventing your family from seeing anything - you are more likely to get them hurt.

I went through this in US Army SERE-C course. They recommended the seats at the absolute rear of the aircraft. Most survivable based on crash data. Also taught us to count seat backs to the primary and alternate exits and to go over the seats to get out.
@ArmchairW
Critique of your analysis - there are post strike satellite photos of the bases that show pre and post strike impacts. No BDA of buildings destroyed - and impact craters consistent with single large impacts. Also - If the west greatly inflated the size of the strike why wouldn’t

Sooo - the us military is 1.3 million folks. Approximately 15% are combat arms. That is about 200,000. That - in case you were interested - is not enough to take a large size city like Atlanta or Dallas if they had to fight house to house. The US has an army of liberation not

To explain - for the award to be for heroism it is issued with a V device (for valor) or a C device for actions during combat. Walz was never in combat and the award does does not contain either a V or C device.
@SaysSimulation
In effect it is a luxury and a function of low crime. This luxury extends to male standards as well. How many overweight unfit cops do you see in the NYPD? Do they train in the gym or martial arts? The answer is sadly no. Extrapolated this is another indicator of systemic rot in

Since I had a double trailer semi race me as I tried to pass - then hit his brakes as I slowed to abandon the pass - and blew me over without stopping - I’m going with A Holes.

I remember a buddy that worked on the 777 telling me about an old timer that got a control cable that was too short. He tied it to the ceiling and hung from it to get it to stretch. Was as tight as a guitar string. My man did not care - his job was to attach cables.
@MCCCANM
My wife and I had to take my mother-in-law to Memory care. She had severe sundowners and would wander at all hours. It ended up being the best thing we could have done. The group home she is in are experts and extremely caring. She has diabetes and they manage the disease

Its all fun and games until the SERE instructor decides your training buddy isn't hitting you hard enough with the knife hands and hits you so hard you see blades of grass when you wake up.

The ambiguity is the point. I expect that they will make an example with a few undercover transactions of one firearm to try and scare everyone. This is all pre election posturing to please Mike Bloomberg so he writes Biden a check…

I realize you are being hyperbolic- but a MK-84 has 945lb of Tritonal. The little boy had about 15 Kilotons tnt equivalent. That’s 31746 MK-84s. I admit to not being a rocket scientist - but I’m going to postulate that it’s pretty difficult to get 30k JDAMs into a city block.
@CynicalPublius
It’s more than that - If you are a retired O in a civilian job - do you want to cross the governor of the state you live in and potential future VP? Your house and business might suddenly need inspection. He might get his taxes audited every year.
@RonnieAdkins_
Speaking of giant heroics - if you are ever in Oregon head to Astoria. The coast guard runs a school for their rescue teams. I don’t know if they are the bravest people I have ever met or the most insane - maybe both:
@ControlledPairs
My father tried with futility to keep me from signing up for the military. 19 year old me couldn’t wait to be deployed. 50 year old me looks at the world with sadness and more than a twinge of guilt at friends that didn’t get to see their kids grow up.
@Snakeeater36
None of us are making it out of this life alive. If one is to meet the end there is no higher calling than sacrificing for another. They are in my prayers.

Neosporin saved me in swamps. We walked through nasty sand and a couple of swamps one night. Next thing I know my junk is burning. It hurt so bad I was walking grabbing my fly to keep from touching skin. In the patrol base I realized it had sandpapered my junk. Neosporin and

One quibble - today he was reading off a teleprompter. Read line deliver line. Pause for laughter. His speechwriters can adjust the verbiage on the fly. The problem wasn’t just lack of audience - it was lack of script.

A complete straw man argument - were they carrying rifles, in the open? You make an invalid argument, appeal to emotion and offer a solution that doesn’t solve the issue.

Backing police - ie funding and training and knowing and exercising your fourth amendment rights are distinct concepts. Always ask to have a lawyer present for questioning.
@Oilfield_Rando
Everything circles back to finance. Take a look at Michael Bloombergs portfolio (and black rock). They are invested in “green” energy and oil / gas. The more they drive adoption of wind / solar = higher margins for hydrocarbons. It’s a wealth transfer…
@sentdefender
This was an intel mission. Shin Bet most likely paid an informant who told them where the grave was. The IDF moved in with tanks and dug up the remains. They have probably known for weeks what her fate was.

Home Depot and Lowe’s sell them as Pick Mauls. I leveled my backyard on put in hundreds of feet of retaining wall in my yard of glacial till - dried clay with rocks… not super portable tho.

So the criminal gang members that were not old enough to own a firearm were breaking the law. Yes, yes they were. Suggestion - Arrest gang members and try them as adults so they can't be on the street terrorizing people.

Heh - lost a K pot at fort Beginning once. Went to the surplus store in town and found the entire TA-50 issue ready to go. They had more kpots than Issue on the base did. I immediately realized there were a bunch of blue falcons on base and this was their fence.
@CynicalPublius
Yes - just visited my mother in law yesterday. She was surprisingly lucid. She actually called my wife “Daughter” and got most of her name out. Hasn’t happened in 3 years. She did have a lot of “Bidenisms” - “well anyway” being the most prominent.

They had a choice, which was to nominate moderates, but they didn’t like that choice. McConnell warned them that it was a bad decision that would haunt Reed.

Ironic that you, who forced lockdowns on the population, and masked children, would speak of tyranny. Nice work copying Hillary BTW - you never did have an original idea. Jan 14 can’t get here soon enough.

Agree - but clouds and more importantly smoke are issues with laser targeting. Besides - the west always assumes air dominance. Why have laser guided shells when you can send in an Apache or an A10? Oh wait…
