@theantiherokate Usually, but not always. Basically anyone on the field who calls plays, audibles, and adjustments (QBs, Centers, Inside Linebackers, Safeties) are usually the smartest guys on the field. Smarts doesn't always equal on-field talent, though.

Shriveled up angry women whose kids hate them (if they have them), who can't attract the attention of men, and have no prospects used to just knit.
Yesterday we posted an article about a Lutheran (ELCA) church that had a "resident witch" on staff and whose services centered around "the divine feminine." Here is a snippet of one of their church services

@QuetzalPhoenix Hey, man. Hitler was a painter. A pretty good one too.
A common myth about Hitler was that he was an "untalented" and "failed" artist. In fact, Hitler was a perfectly capable artist whose interest in architecture shines though in his work. He also made a modest living after WWI selling his art in Vienna. Hitler's paintings are mostly watercolor landscapes and architecture, which is perhaps unsurprising considering his psychological makeup. This was not exactly en vogue at the time and Hitler very much disliked the modern, experimental styles of the time. It should be of little surprise that the very prestigious and somewhat avant-garde Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna rejected his application. This truth has been disingenuously contorted into the claim that Hitler "couldn't get into art school". In reality the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna around that time was the MIT graduate program of art schools. Hitler could have easily got into art school, but as a young man he wanted to go to one of the best in the world. These myths around Hitler and art are given oxygen by the fact that, in the years after the war, much of Hitler's art was seized and kept largely hidden from the public's appraisal. A substantial portion of the surviving private collection has been purchased by groups and individuals who want to make sure they stay out of circulation and exhibition.

@alwaysadblock I'll never forget a fat French guy coming over to our apartment and all the other French people looked at him with a mixture of disgust and concern. Like, "Oh my god, what happened? What's wrong with him?" Somebody actually asked if he had "depression problems" after he left.

This is just the disgusting "grass on the field, play ball" joke, but as public policy.

@WaywardRabbler As a 90's kid, he'll always be the guy who did that song on the soundtrack for that crappy Batman movie that played on VH-1 for like three years too long.

@AndrewBeckUSA Yeah, they're hanging on for deal life. They thought they had it all figured out, but it's coming apart at the finish line. Even if I don't empathize with their panic, I understand it.
Older people have spent their whole lives in a system designed to patronize them into docility. So, they are feverishly trying to keep it going to the grave. Younger people know they got screwed, they know the path forward is fraught for them. They're disgusted with their elders.

@H1bdestroyer I have a 40 year old French cousin. She's pretty, smart, social, good family, a catch. Unmarried, childless, and a PhD she doesn't use.
