@DRFRusso They've certainly packed a lot of weight on him in the last year. I still find him very average looking, to me he is not a 'wow' horse physically.

If you don't spend time studying equine colour genetics it wouldn't be common knowledge, & it's an admittedly dry subject sometimes LOL. Unlike dogs, there is no brindle gene in horses but those skewed colors/patterns do sometimes create the look 🙂

@Joe_Nevills 2) Spendthrift on new stallion Taiba - we'll throw 180 mares at him in 60 days, & if he's still going we'll add more. Coolmore last year with Epicenter - not sound for turnout, but fine to cover 262 mares....

@HorseyGort @browch05 Depends on the stallion but yes, some have been trained to be collected without mounting. Requires a little more 'help' on the handlers part though.... & 100% each collection can serve several mares so still mounting for AI collection would save jumps

@browch05 @cherokeechic71 I'd argue 90% is due to the fact we've been giving Lasix to everything & thus masking bleeders for decades. In the past if they bled that bad they'd have had no career. Now those horses that are bleeders but were held together with Lasix make up the bloodlines of evrythng running

@HorseToWatch His base colour is bay, with a white pattern (W22) on top. Clearly they're just registering based on what base colour is showing. They don't have a proper option for white spotting sadly.
