I just learned that Kamala means Lotus in Sanskrit. Back in my hippie days, I was given the name White Lotus and I went by Lotus for years. I eventually returned to my birth name.

My husband retired at 56. He stays busy with bees, the pecan orchard, gardening, cutting wood, helping family, friends and neighbors. I’m unofficially retired also and wouldn’t be able to take care of aging family if I wasn’t. My husband and I are needed to help out wherever.
