Are you also listing your own book on Amazon? I think it has to do with link building to the amazon page itself. I also think you could outrank them by writing information about the protagonist on your own domain. Unfortunately the reality is that you have to focus on outranking with your own content, rather than trying to take down the other knockoff content. Although if you feel that the other amazon book counts as copyright infringement, you might be able to submit a claim to have that taken off either Amazon or Google Search.
