It sounds terrible. Split jingles not working or playing over the top, presenters having to play a ‘contact speech’ split link out which doesn’t sound natural to then having to go into speaking normally. I feel so sorry for presenters. Management have NO idea what they’re doing!
One of the worst things about being a BBC Local Radio presenter now… the expectation that we’ll “sell” the new schedules as a good thing. As a presenter, the relationship with my listener comes first, and I’m not comfortable with misleading them or lying.
