OTD: 2 years ago, I walked into a room, alone, and was told I had breast cancer. It’s been quite the adventure. Not sure how to feel about my “Cancer-versary”. Tomorrow I have an MRI to see if it’s all gone. So yeah - lots of feels.

Can I please just say I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE. I was enrolled in a clinical trial which had a small chance of resulting in me avoiding chemotherapy. Basically, half the people would chemo as normal, the other half would have their tumours analysed. Pretty much coin toss situ..

Came to see if people needed help in Brooke Road - it’s entirely underwater. Entire ground floors flooded. Saw people rescuing their pets and getting out of there to stay with friends. Others just resigned to it and seeking shelter.

I AM ON A PLANE! I am so excited. Travel is part of who I am and I’ve missed it so much. Just when it started to look like travel was possible bloody cancer came along, but now I am on a plane and I cannot tell you how thrilled I am. I could actually cry.

Whenever we get some desert dust in London, I always like to think that it's mum coming to visit. (I sprinkled her ashes in the Sahara so she could keep having adventures, and made a deal with the desert - you look after mum, and I'll look after a box of desert sand, which I do.)
