@legalstyleblog The 28th amendment debacle was inexplicable - I could not (and still can't) see any useful purpose it was meant to serve

@Dr_W_E_Bulmer @SilenceInPolish I interviewed for a role in a bilingual province of Canada and expressed frank concern that my O Grade French might not be enough I was told that was an asset because they could add me to their list of Francophone lawyers! (Yikes!)

@btharris93 There is a not entirely implausible interpretation of the ICJ opinion by which, rather than meaning that the Falklands need to be handed over (not back btw), it really means that the former Falkland Islands Dependencies (SGSSI and BAT) need to be returned to the Falklands ;-)

[0]0:03 would work just as well if [0]0:07 is missed, that being the original time at which the (improbably elastic) countdown timer in Goldfinger was stopped before it was reedited when someone realised they had missed a trick
Everytime I use the microwave I try to stop it at 00:07 regardless of what is or isn't ready. The reward for this is the bond theme in my head.

Taking this thought experiment to an absurd extreme, I found myself imagining a scenario in which the Falklands ends up at war with South Georgia and wondering how the Governor and the Commissioner could be on opposite sides (IYKYK)
Here's a question I've often pondered, but to which I haven't arrived at a clear answer: could, theoretically, one Commonwealth Realm be at war with another? Could, say, the King of Australia be at war with the King of the Solomon Islands? I'm imagining Grand Poo-Bah scenes.
