Matt, I sincerely hope you are kidding. Eating less and exercising more is what you would tell someone to work up an appetite. I hope you see how generating hunger is not a good strategy for weight loss. But that doesn’t mean weight loss efforts are destined to fail. I lost
Literally every person in the history of the world who has eaten less and exercised more has lost weight. It's the simplest equation in existence.

Hey @AmDiabetesAssn .See me on the left, following your advice? My A1c was 8.5, I was on long actin insulin and Metformin - scheduled to go on mealtime insulin and BP meds. I was set for devastating diabetic complications. Luckily I found better advice from doctors who actually

Keto alone did not get me off insulin. Fast forward 7 months, I added daily IF 16:8, which got me off insulin in exactly 2 weeks. That was 4.5 years ago and I still maintain a healthy A1c. I also lost a lot of weight.
What’s your favorite intermittent fasting method? 16/8? 5:2? Let’s compare notes! 📅. Answer: I’ve been doing 16/8, and it works great for me! What about you? Drop your fasting style and why it works! 👇 .@drjasonfung. #FastingCommunity #IntermittentFasting.

Five people were instrumental in saving my life:.1. My friend Adrian told me to look up Dr. Phinney. 2. Dr. Phinney opened my mind to Keto. 3. @KenDBerryMD taught me the ropes and provided continued support. 4. @drjasonfung got me off insulin. 5. And myself. I followed through.

Clowns. Dietary cholesterol has very little impact on serum cholesterol. This is not even controversial.
You've probably heard seafood is a good choice when you're watching cholesterol. That's true, but shrimp is an exception. One serving, even if you cook it without fat, has about 190 milligrams of cholesterol.

4.5 years between the pictures, but the first one seems like a lifetime ago. Thank you, Dr. Phinney @virtahealth, for opening my mind to keto and giving me hope; @KenDBerryMD, for teaching me the proper way; @drjasonfung, for getting me off insulin. #reclaimingMyHealth #cleanKeto

My son and I just devoured this #healthy #carnivore. All locally raised and sustainable. My son is T1D and won’t need to bolus for this delicious meal. I am T2D, off insulin for almost 2 years. What’s on your plate?

That is not my experience. Fat in combination with protein is very satiating. Who eats just fat?
This is fundamentally why zero-carb diets are not ideal for weight loss, metabolic health, or body composition. These diets require lots of pure fat for energy. Pure fat has a very low satiety *per calorie.*. Therefore, zero-carb diets make people eat more than a diet with some.

I received a similar reply from my former rheumatologist. At that point, I had lost over 60 pounds (now 110). She mentioned how my kidney levels had improved, to which I replied, "I know; I do keto." She turned around, looked me straight in the eyes and said: "Keto is going to

In hospitals, why are T2 diabetics fed a high-carb diet and given insulin to cover the carbs?. Why are they not provided with low-carb options?. Why is a diabetic meal high in carbs and low in fat?. What happened to "I will do no harm"?. @AmDiabetesAssn @KenDBerryMD

#CICO led me on a 30+ year path of yoyo dieting, which made me sick and morbidly obese. #CIM and the #ProperHumanDiet saved my life. I reversed T2D, NASH, and GERD and no longer require insulin, Metformin or autoimmune suppressants. #keto #ketovore #carnivore #wholefood

@playboyreview You don't know what I did. A calorie is not a calorie when it comes to how they are metabolized.

No, you have it backwards. Too much insulin makes the kidneys retain sodium. It's better to restrict carbs, not salt.
Swelling can be a sign of too much sodium in your body. Body parts like your face, hands, feet, and ankles are most likely to swell. Other signs there's too much salt in your body:

Wait … I am type 2, off insulin (50 units) and metformin (2000 mg) for a year, no other diabetes meds, A1c 5.2. They say type 2 is chronic progressive. Guess it's not. A few of my life savers: @drjasonfung @KenDBerryMD @virtahealth @garytaubes @MaryanneDemasi @ProfTimNoakes

I am so glad you brought this up. Fat? Not so much, but I was. There is even a medical term: Super obese. I have lost 130 pounds. And while I am still on my journey, I’d say I’m crushing it. What’s more important, though, is that I’m putting myself out there to inspire others and.
@REV_Insulin_Res @KenDBerryMD @carbaddictcoach @ChrisPalmerMD @theketonist @TuitNutrition @deckerlesscarbs why are you so FAT?.

I am sad for friends that say they cannot give up ice cream, pasta, or pizza. It would rob them of their last joy. They don't know how much more joyful their life would be if they ate proper food. #foodaddiction

I never counted calories, but happened to end up at around 1800 calories, carbs under 20g, most days under 10g per day. No seed oils, no UPF, but plenty animal based food. All my metabolic markers improved, allowing me to get off insulin and all meds except for thyroid. 2/2.#keto.

Doctor: You lost a lot of weight, and your kidneys are doing great again. Me: Yes, I do keto. Doctor: Keto will destroy your kidneys. Shortly after they dropped me for being non-compliant bc I stopped an immune suppressant I never needed (misdiagnosed RA almost 30 years ago).
Your doctor: "Sir, you look great. What have you been doing?". You: "I've been eating meat. A lot of it actually.". Your doctor: "No, no, no. We can't have that.".

A1c is at 5.2 again. For the third time in a row. It's been 11 months since I got off insulin and Metformin. Diabetes is not chronic progressive. We do not need to eat carbs for stable glucose levels. We do not need small frequent meals. Thanks @KenDBerryMD and @drjasonfung
