The RDKB Emergency Program is aware of the wildland fire burning near

. Fire is highly visible from The Cityof Trail. No structures are at risk at this time. KBRFR, RCMP, BCAS and

Volunteers gather at 7 p.m. each day beside the Grand Forks Arena to fill and deploy sandbags to area residents in need. Over 13,000 sandbags deployed to date!

EOC has been activated to a level 3 due to the Goosmus Wildfire south of Danville, WA. The fire is moving north toward the US/Canada border. Tactical evacuations are occurring. Evacuees are asked to check in at the Red Cross reception centre at the Grand Forks Arena.
Evacuation orders expanded to 1125 additional properties in the RDKB Areas C, D, and E, from Christina Lake through the West Boundary, including areas of Grand Forks. About 2500 on evac. order now.
