The incoming US tariffs are a betrayal of the bond between our countries and an attack on BC and Canadian families. We are standing up for BC's workers and businesses: supporting the billions in national retaliatory tariffs from Ottawa and launching immediate BC counter-measures.

BC is about to host one of the most unique international competitions of the year. The Invictus Games brings together people who have been wounded or injured through military service. It's about perseverance, personal achievement, and community.

BC has goods and services like critical minerals that other parts of the world, including the US, need and want. We're looking at ways to approve mining and energy projects quickly and issue their permits faster so they can create jobs in rural communities and across BC.

@danvinylman Hi Dan, it isn't about fentanyl. If it were, why is Trump threatening lower tariffs on China, the primary source for the precursor chemicals? The US Customs & Border Protection's own site shows fentanyl from Canada is less than 1%. Ottawa responded with a 1.3B security plan.

@G63006Sage We didn't ask for this, Sage. Trump is now threatening tariffs on countries around the world and saying he wants to use tariffs for revenue generation. This was never about fentanyl or border issues as he claimed. If it were, wouldn’t you want to deal with it at the source?

@CanardBrun This is a targeted approach, sending a message to Donald Trump in states where elected representatives support him. It doesn’t make sense to punish producers in states that aren't supporting this. To end tariffs we need Donald Trump to feel pressure from his allies in red states.

@den282242 Most people in BC get a full or partial Climate Action Tax Credit. We expect that most people who receive the credit will get back more money than they pay in carbon tax. The Carbon Tax is an effective way to encourage transitioning away from fossil fuels & towards clean energy.
