@heskelbalas Historically SpaceX does not do offensive or lethal military tech. What is the video about, is Elon changing that?

A Memo released this afternoon by FHWA Associate Administrator Emily Biondi releases all obligated funds for the NEVI funding EV charging program for Fiscal Years 22, 23, 24. “Until new guidance is issued, reimbursement of existing obligations will be allowed in order to not disrupt current financial commitments.” $2,385,000,000 of funds have already been released according to the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation website Separately, the memo states the NEVI Formula Program Guidance will be updated to align with @POTUS Administration policies This means new funding will be released for the remaining years of the program The FHWA aims to have an updated draft NEVI Formula Guidance published for public comment in the spring. Our team at @ElectricEraTech looks forward to working with the FHWA and Secretary of Transportation @SeanDuffyWI to improve NEVI We have many ideas on how to save the government money, improve speed of station development, and outcomes for American tax payers! 🇺🇸

The key words in the last sentence are 'existing obligations'. The FHWA website defines funds as obligated when "the State has submitted to the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation, and FHWA has approved, the State’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan" According to the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation website $2,385,000,000 of funds have already been obligated from State Plans during 2022 to 2024. The large issue and concern for the whole industry was if all the existing ongoing contracts (obligations) were going to get tied up. Our team's read is that this is favorable news as long as the guidance holds

@pluginsites @ElectricEraTech @USDOT The remaining years of NEVI need to achieve a much better outcome for EV drivers and we will work super hard to make this happen
