@PollRackham @HaydenHewitt @jk_rowling Common when you have no argument but feel a need to prove yourself right, unable to accept being wrong.

I quit paying attention to him around 2022 after listening to an audiobook he wrote, narrated by someone else, filled with Joel Osteen platitudes and humanism you can readily brainstorm; the book was a collection of speeches he gave. Content similar to: > Where you can’t, God can! > Never let bitterness or disappointment overpower the Gospel message to love. > The Gospel is always young, so too must the Christian be young at heart! The entire book was useless to me.

@CrimsonPKing @mchooyah Was just about to say, you can see it plainly from the Zapruder(?) tape, different angles of impact, him clutching his throat before the headshot

@ElliotGoblin @MJSchneiderman Why did you dislike the movie? What do you mean about Book’s death being a mess? Is it because his dying words are preaching religious indifferentism whereas he was supposed to have been a Christian?

1) That’s why Whedon says he did it in the Serenity DVD commentary. 2) Also in this commentary, Whedon says he likes to mix things up as much as he can to keep the audience on their toes and interested. He says this commentary at the scene where they just escape from the Reavers after the bank robbery and Mal asks in a pouty face about Kaylee asking after Simon rather than himself - “Is *he* okay?!” - when suddenly a Reaver pops up right behind him — mixing fear immediately after humor in this case. It appears Whedon’s screwup was underestimating the magnitude of Wash’s death for the audience. In the commentary he says he and @alantudyk were laughing about it during production, Alan joking his script seemed to be missing pages.

@MJSchneiderman In the DVD commentary Whedon says it was to add drama/suspense to the final fights so that each time one gets shot you take it seriously as they might actually die, to take the battle seriously and to question whether they will be successful or not.

@seamus_coughlin Democrats think the way to budget is to say “We don’t need a budget because we can just print it.”

@young_bruce @CheeseForEvery1 yeah, it's pretty easy to dispel the sophistry of 'God didn't create it because the scale between planets (etc) isn't what I would expect'

@bitcloud Same, he thinks I'm now supporting Nazis. He spends his free time playing video games rather than reading. I think it's not a coincidence.
