The student author is getting dragged, but I think she has a point. A quick google search shows she came to Princeton with a perfect ACT score and top HS grades. But her HS wasn't very rigorous. And hence she has struggled.

Trump apologists now argue that Trump’s 34 crimes were wrongly upped to felonies—as if 34 misdemeanors are A-OK, on top of civil judgments for persistent fraud on lenders, charity fraud, sex abuse, 3 defamations, his company’s 17 felony convictions for tax fraud, etc. ... 1/15

don't hunger strikes only really work when the state or other authority has a responsibility to keep you alive? (e.g. prisoner in jail) I'm not sure how voluntarily sitting in your house for 24 hours, living off of Red Bull & video games, sticks it to the man or whatever

Has any sovereign in the history of civilization ever accepted an agreement like this? (Correct me if I’m wrong, but Hamas slaughtered 1000 civilians and then offered “we’ll give you back the ones we captured if you give us a pass on the slaughter”).

Israel could have had all of its civilian hostages returned on Oct 8th through a diplomatic agreement w Hamas. It shot to death nearly as many hostages as it extracted through military ops. & destroyed all unis, hospitals, cities (minus Rafah) & killed 40K Palestinians #Gaza
