Exploring Prague’s urban chaos, one messy street at a time. Bad planning, good stories

Wow, two whole delivery spots available for parking! But nah, my habits are too strong, I’d rather block the sidewalk Well done, @Pekarna_Kabat !

Probably the last kebab kiosk legally allowed to claim sidewalk territory. A true urban legend, serving wraps and nostalgia one bite at a time. How long will it last, @prahajedna?

@VStransky @dopracenakole @spolekautomat You can count on your fingers how many separated bike lanes we have in Prague, and they still manage to block one for the whole year. I was shocked when I saw this construction happening. Meanwhile, cars are parked inside the construction barriers 🤦🏻♂️

@jarousz1 Pickup truck, BMW, yeah. The guy doesn’t even hide it since all his vehicles have the same plate wording

@JannkNovak @vojtechpraha @ZdenekHrib @Svoboda_Slavek @makupka @Vit_Rakusan Probably because they are instructed not to. I wouldn’t be surprised if major delivery companies complain at a high level, saying they can’t do their work, using political pressure or something similar

@VStransky @Svoboda_Slavek @MP_Praha @PrahaEU @ZdenekHrib @parkovanivpraze Betlémské Náměstí is another great example. It could be a nice pedestrian-only zone with more restaurant terraces

@LachmannFilip The recent video by @janekrubes clearly shows that Prague needs a Limited Traffic Zone enforced by cameras. Those mixed pedestrian zones are disrespected daily. It’s crazy!

@parkovanivpraze @MP_Praha @Svoboda_Slavek And you didn’t see yet how they treated the bike lane a bit further (in front Lacoste shop)

Prague pasážes are beautiful, busy, and so open you might even find a car parked inside! Good one for you @parkovanivpraze

Another @prahajedna story: • Trade in: more space on the square for the public clock. • Trade out: private spaces under the arcades enclosed with glass walls, blocking walking paths—against the rules you enforce

Square redone, sidewalk updated—for parking. What’s the point of a shared zone when cars take all the space? @parkovanivpraze @prahabezaut
