Veterans Achievers Award #GeneralUpendraDwivedi #COAS, today honoured two esteemed #Veterans Major General Alok Raj (Retd) and Havildar Gurprem Singh (Retd) with the 'Veterans Achievers Award' during his visit to #JaipurMilitaryStation. Major General Alok Raj (Retd) has been an avid mountaineer and a marathon runner. He co-founded the Uniglobe Development Foundation, focusing on sustainable development and environmental protection, notably planting 50,000 trees across military stations in India. He also holds the prestigious appointment of Chairman, Rajasthan Staff Selection Board since Aug 2023. Havildar Gurprem Singh (Retd), a keen sportsman had represented the #IndianArmy in national and international boxing events. He has established an academy that offers free coaching to aspiring recruits for the armed forces, CRPF and police, resulting in 273 successful selections. His contributions to nation-building include conducting anti-narcotic drives and coaching athletes in various sports. During the visit #COAS interacted with large number of veterans and exhorted them to continue contributing towards nation building and the vision of #ViksitBharat2047. ‘Service is a Lifelong Journey; Building a Stronger, United #India’ #RespectAndRecognition
