Actually this is also bad game design, but it's optional and very late in the game. It has become one of the most iconic part of VVVVVVV because of how frustrating it is. So context can make bad game design = good ? GD Platformer make me wanna dissect every video game ever.

I think you guys don't realise how much hated that part would be if it wasn't optional. This is exactly where you need different skilled playtesters : a gamer, a casual and a 3 year old toddler. If I was the one to judge I'd think it's fun. Bias can be crazy

I rebeat all my levels after 9 years. The feels. My hardest level is called "I love cereal" and is rated harder 6* (diff is around medium demon). I'm actually grateful it's misrated because it made me realise one of the many things I found out through my retrospective journey.

- not only gd applies for everything
- build 4 numbers is an easy ticket to being miserable, find joy in overcoming hurdles and discovering tricks or art tips
- be proud of what you made try to progress and get supportive friends

You can't get half a CP. However rated lists can contain unrated levels. That's more than being just an unrated level therefore that's what I would call "half a CP". a CP is a CP tho you can't say it's only a half.

Random thought we could have official sfx trigger for every vehicle like how they yell in sonic colors whenever sonic changes forms.
I know it would also be cringe but like that hasn't stopped people using bling sfx whenever you pick a coin.
Also difficulty faces are a thing so..

Idk why the VVVVVV tweet blew up. I was calling it good because of context (it was poorly worded and I didn't really elaborate cuz char limit). It's actually my fav part of the game, I like how one block puts you through all that.

They still used scale and alpha triggers in an efficient way. if it was all frame by frame this would have been like 10000x more object heavy... you can't just deny all the effort just because it used imgtogd. As for the platformer bias yeah it is real

After spending countless hours on gd's stupid discord bot I have learned 2 things :
- Extreme demons are a very hype and fun thing
- 99% of levels are purple
- paperworld by taman and paperworld are 2 different levels
- there is a level called bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
