Obviously not the results that all

fans, myself included, were hoping for. But looking at it "glass 3/4 full". The Selects went to an Esso Cup - against the best teams in the country. And they lost to 1 team in regulation all week. That is a LOT to be proud of.

Just got an email from the NSCC about the Tyler Bieber Memorial Bursary.
We were able to collect $850 total from a number of wonderful contributors. The NSCC itself threw in $150 to bring the bursary to an even $1000. It will be presented to a deserving student this fall.

Just an observation. In watching about 10 min of Oly wom hockey (USA vs FIN), they made 2 references to players' male relatives in the NHL.
I'd be willing to bet $ to donuts that when said male players are talked about in NHL broadcasts, their female relatives go unmentioned.
