Disruptions to community health center payments impacts over 30 million patients according to @NACHC including people receiving care from health care for the homeless clinics @NatlHCHCouncil, clinics in rural and farm communities, and public housing residents.
Federal funding delays have pushed several community health centers nationwide to close or cut back on staff.

So… here we go the budget plan process kicks off today with threatening families’ health insurance, food assistance, and other federal help.
With House Republicans still negotiating a budget plan that is likely to include deeply harmful proposals, Senate Republicans today released a much narrower plan, which is both opaque and troubling.

Really enjoyed this conversation. Government has a responsibility to take care of people who have the least. Budget and policy decisions dictate if we can live up to this challenge.

The House GOP plans being discussed are the exact opposite of what families need. Health care and food are among the basic things we should make it easier for families to access, not harder. This so that the wealthy get more tax breaks. Shameful.
Taking away $200B worth of health coverage and $50B in groceries from people who struggle to afford the basics is substantial and harmful.

It is important to understand that the OMB letter was just one way #Medicaid programs & access to health care are under threat. We must keep up the fight. In the days & weeks ahead, Congress and the Administration may take actions that take health insurance away from families.
House Rs are reportedly considering a raft of damaging cuts to people's health care as they prepare budget legislation, including astounding swipes at Medicaid that would lead people to lose coverage and policies that would raise costs for people in the marketplaces.

Hey Y’all! If you were worried about the potential impacts on #SNAP benefits during the funding freeze chaos yesterday, you should check out our latest paper because the threats to cut SNAP is not over.

Important question for governors, mayors, county gov'ts and other public officials is how they intend to continue delivering critical public services after 5 pm.
This new OMB memo is certain to cause chaos and could result in serious harm to a broad swath of people and communities around the country.
