West London based. Calling for better quality infrastructure for pedestrians 🚶♂️ and cyclists 🚴♂️ around the World. Dyspraxia. Public Health interests. NUFC
A motorist is recovering after he was inconvenienced for 30 entire seconds by other road users. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this difficult time. I hope he makes a full and swift recovery.
Followed these for a mile, is there any wonder motorists get pissed off with cyclists, anyone would think they own the whole road, unfortunately with latest rules they do.
Bloody cyclists always ignoring pedestrians using zebra crossings! If only they could be as considerate and law abiding as cars like in this video.

Drivers have quickly made good use of this brand new cycle lane in Southall by converting it into a car park. Of course, it is their god given right to do so because they pay rOaD tAx.

We spend billions of pounds every year on building roads for private cars. Here we can barely see any of them using the roads. Time to cut back on road spending for the private car drivers and instead invest in walking and cycling infrastructure.

That's the next video .. where she complains about not being able to even do 20 mph because of other cars. She'll be uploading it any minute now .. any minute.
This driver, in Kensington earlier today, made no effort to stop for the red light. This was despite being on a 20mph limited road and having plenty of time to slow down.
@RBKC_cycling
Enjoyed witnessing this scene earlier. Something satisfying about seeing a group of cyclists progressing seamlessly in the rain. Especially after hearing from a number of motorists about how nobody ever cycles in the rain ☔️ 🚲
The focus on blaming the victim in the comments section on TikTok is staggering. There’s more concern for the car following the kick than there is for the girl who was reversed into.
Great to see these roadworks considering cyclists near St Paul’s in London. Showing that you don’t have to close the road to all users just because you have to close the road to motor vehicles. More of this please
@cityoflondon
Still can’t quite believe how good this section of the C9 cycle lane actually is to use from Chiswick to Hammersmith! Looking forward to the extension in the near future.
@HF_Cycling
@HounslowCycling
Steve, please do share the data about only 1 in 10 of cyclists stopping at red lights and crossings. Include year of publication, sample size and methodology design. Thanks in advance!

Typical scene in the London Borough of Ealing just now. A driver blocking the cycle lane with his car not being enforced. What’s the point of having cycle lanes if
@EalingCouncil
allow everybody to constantly obstruct them?
A stark reminder of the dangers drivers pose to themselves and others. Could this have been prevented if all cars were limited to the speed limit of the road?
Segregated cycle infrastructure is great because it not only is safe to use but also appears safe to all which encourages more to cycle. It was great to see so many families cycling with children in Chiswick this afternoon.
@HounslowCycling
@LBofHounslow
Car manufacturers market an experience where drivers enjoy freedom through driving in cities. In reality, driving in cities cannot provide such an experience due to congestion. However, cycling can, as demonstrated here.
A warm welcome back to UK roads for me yesterday afternoon. I forgot how inconsiderate people can be on the roads in this country. Why can’t everyone just get along and look out for each other?
This guy really wanted to be noticed, what with the noise of his car’s engine. So I was surprised that he would be coasting along with both hands on his mobile phone. Ironically TikTok removed this video for promoting dangerous activities.
The steering of this cargo bike is a bit temperamental and here I was struggling to keep it straight. Fortunately though, this friendly DPD van driver was on hand to give me some encouragement and support on the Uxbridge Road.
Maybe if all black cab drivers followed the Highway Code, like good professional drivers, they wouldn’t have to rely on people like John to prevent them from being prosecuted.
@theJeremyVine
Understandable that she may choose to not use the cycle lane. Cycle lanes are often damaged, inconvenient to use or simply end abruptly like in this example

I wish this was a joke but it seems this police department in Japan genuinely believe, that if pedestrians always show gratitude to drivers for not killing them at crossings; road traffic collisions will be “eliminated”. 🤦♂️
@tractorman07
It would seem that, based on your comments, you think you own the road as you take issue with sharing it with these cyclists who are moving in ahead of you.
I’ve been told here that Chiswick High Rd has become disastrous since the implementation of the C9 Cycleway. It’s not as if the driver was at fault. How would they have been able to see this great big red double decker bus through this cycle lane?
@WB35755389
@paulgittings
The cycle lane is blue. The bus lane is red. You can only see blue at first because cars are parked on it for the rest of the clip. You cretin.
Enjoyed a fantastic ride with friends and family at the
@KidicalMassLond
on Sunday. Thanks to
@BetterEaling
for sharing it and to the event organisers. The difference in infrastructure and change in mood from drivers was really noticeable after leaving Hyde Park for Battersea.
Today there’s news that
@EalingCouncil
has the highest prevalence of asthmatics out of all London Boroughs. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Ealing also has some of the worst infrastructure for cycling and walking of all London Boroughs, particularly in Southall.
@rajeshk4u
@n00dles71
They don’t have priority but they are more vulnerable and care should be taken to pass them which it was. Amazing that this is your main takeaway from the clip.
@Mwiffen123
@theJeremyVine
He clearly did slow down that’s not really the issue here. The issue is that driver was on his phone and driving without due care..
Have to give credit where it’s due. I previously complained about how this stretch of Uxbridge Road was riddled with potholes. I’m glad they have recently been filled in here so it’s no longer dangerous to cycle here. Thanks all

Made the brave dash across Uxbridge Road this morning where pedestrians are completely at the mercy of the driver kings. Why is there no provision for pedestrians in the world’s leading active travel borough?

For a start, you could prosecute drivers who use existing cycle lanes as a parking space. Alternatively you could add bollards to protect the cycle lanes from being parked in by drivers.
@phonekills
@RBKC
I’m sure
@NFBUK
will be outraged that pedestrians are unable to cross the road here because drivers clearly refuse to stop for pedestrians
Uploading this from a while ago as I’m sure the driver must have accepted an FPN rather than going to court. Unsurprisingly, many drivers can’t believe the police would have sent this driver an NIP.
Imagine revving car engines and setting off fireworks on the only available pavement to celebrate your wedding… This happened last night at the Bukhara London venue in Southall. Its ridiculous to setup a fireworks display on a public pavement!
@JM4NorwoodGreen
Soon I’ll be off to collect a cargo bicycle from Ealing council for the week. As part of their active travel scheme, they loan cargo bikes to council residents for 1-2 weeks at a time for free.
