Hey @espn @SugarBowlNola @VisitNewOrleans @CityOfNOLA Y'all need to do a story on this. The man in charge of HISD thinks NOLA is too dangerous to for a high school band and ONLY said yes because of backlash. But the mayor had their back.
After reading this story last night, @houmayor John Whitmire offered an @houstonpolice escort for the @HoustonISD Waltrip HS’s Roaring Ram Band’s trip to the Sugar Bowl. He was glad to hear from Superintendent Miles this morning. Miles has reversed a premature decision by his staff. The City will support in any way that is needed to ensure these hard working Waltrip students have a well-deserved trip to New Orleans. @TexasPharmD @GeneforTexas Show me how? Ratings that were presented are NOT from TEA!! TEA can't release these ratings from 22-23 or 23-24. They are blocked by the courts.

SUMMARY: This is NOT a superintendent. He is not certified. 4500 teachers left who were effective up until HE (still uncertified) came here and said otherwise. He makes up ratings (TEA can't release them) and won't talk about Colorado (not debunked) @HoustonCVPE @HFT_2415

Silly mouth piece. These ratings and scores are completely rubbish. TEA can't release these figures because they are in litigation. Like any good math teacher, show the work. He can't because he lacks the ability to be transparent and accountable.

This is a red herring, a distraction from the truth. He wants money, power & control of the largest ISD in Texas. There is no transparency, no accountability, and tons of propaganda, like skewing data from questionable ratings to problems with buildings. @HoustonCVPE @HFT_2415
.@HoustonISD Superintendent Mike Miles posted a letter on Linkedin today about the "need for unbiased media reporting." The post specifically targets the headlines of two @HoustonChron stories for being disappointing, misleading and for not celebrating students enough.
